e.l.f. Cosmetics Skin Hydration Order

Recently I received a package I ordered from e.l.f. cosmetics where I ordered some products that I thought might help hydrate my skin. I wanted to try some of these products for a long time, and I was happy to order because my skin is in a S.O.S. state of dryness right now!

I ordered three products and got a three product extra gift free with purchase:

  1. Hydrogel Under Eye Masks
  2. Daily Hydration Moisturizer
  3. Booster Drops
  4. Coconut Lip Exfoliator (GWP)
  5. Hydrating Water Sheet Mask (GWP)
  6. Beautifully Bare Cream Blush in the color rose blush (GWP)

I’ve been using some of these products for a few days now, and I am pleasantly surprised with how they work. I decided to make the order the day the Booster Drops launched because I thought it was going to be the answer to dry skin problems.

Unfortunately, the Booster Drops alone don’t work as well as I thought they would. They dry really quickly when applied and rubbed into the skin, and they don’t really leave my skin feeling hydrated. They do work well, however, when you mix them with foundation. My foundation has looked dry and cakey lately because my skin is so parched, and mixing the drops in the formula helps the foundation formula tremendously!

I love the under eye masks, and they left the skin under my eyes feeling refreshed and hydrated. I will probably order those again, and I can’t wait to use more of them! As for the Daily Hydration Moisturizer, it smells delicious and actually feels nice on the skin. It is a great preparation before applying foundation, and awesome to use every morning.

I will let you all know how all of the other products work, but right now the e.l.f. skincare line is doing pretty well for me! Have you tried any of these products? What did you like or dislike?

Thanks for reading, until next time

Fall Drug Store Haul

Hi beautiful readers!

I wanted to share with you some great products I bought last week. This past weekend, I traveled to North Carolina to visit my boyfriend, and go to a wedding, so I had a lot of opportunity to test theses products out. This haul included e.l.f. products which I ordered off of their website, some Essence cosmetics products, and a Wet N Wild rainbow highlighter which I purchased at Harmon’s Face Values.

The products include:

  1. e.l.f. cosmetics Brow Pencil in the shade Taupe
  2. e.l.f. cosmetics Acne Fighting Foundation in the shade Porcelain
  3. e.l.f. cosmetics Eyelid Primer in the shade Pearl
  4. e.l.f. cosmetics Concealer in the shade Fair
  5. e.l.f. cosmetics Tinted Lip Oil in the shade Mocha Kiss
  6. Essence Cosmetics Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara
  7. Essence Cosmetics I Love Colour Intensifying Eyeshadow Base
  8. Wet N Wild Color Icon Rainbow Highlighter in the shade Unicorn Glow

So the first three e.l.f. products I’ve tried before and LOVED, but decided to try them in different shades that I felt match my skin and hair colors better. The eyebrow pencil is a favorite of mine, and usually I use the pencil in warm brown, however the taupe color matches my eyebrows much better and gives them a more natural full effect.

Swatches from the top down: Tinted lip oil, eyebrow pencil, concealer, e.l.f. eyelid primer, Essence eyelid primer

The Acne Fighting Foundation has been a favorite of mine as well, but since fall is here and my summer tan has faded, my old Beige shade was too dark. This lighter color is closer to my skin tone and provides great coverage like the Beige one, however, I feel like e.l.f. needs to expand their range of foundation shades since this doesn’t quite match my skintone and it is such a great product.

This Essence mascara I’ve wanted to try for a long time, and fortunately, I am really happy with it! It does lengthen and separate lashes, making them look longer than some other drug store brands I’ve tried. My only complaint with this mascara is that when you rub your eyes, it leaves grey marks under the eyes which is not cute.

Between the eyelid primers (Essence and e.l.f.), I enjoy the texture of the e.l.f. one better. However, I usually buy the e.l.f. primer in sheer and I prefer the sheer color to this pearl one. Both the Essence and e.l.f. ones are good to have on hand, though, since they both last decently throughout the night.

So I’ve been eyeing this Wet N Wild highlighter for a long time, and I bought it just to give it a try. Plus, it will be great to include for my Halloween costume (I’m being a mermaid), so this product is just super fun. Check out my swatch of it! You can see all of the different shades of the rainbow.

I think my favorite product in this haul is the Tinted Lip Oil from e.l.f.! It smells like Mocha and is super yummy. It is lightweight enough to wear everyday, but elegant enough to wear to a party. It leaves a natural pigment on the lips and is not super sticky which is a plus!

This concludes the review of my haul, and I am really happy with all of the products I’ve bought. Do you see anything you’ve been wanting to try? Which products do you like that I bought?

Thanks for reading, until next time!

First Day of Fall Makeup!!

Hi beautiful internet readers!

I wanted to show you all a fun and berry-inspired makeup look I completed on the first day of fall (September 22, 2017)! This look was so fun to do, and it was completed using only eyeshadows from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette. I love this palette SOOOO much, and it is great for fall makeup looks.

Other products I used included e.l.f. Foundation, Hikari blush/bronzer duo, Becca Cosmetics highlighter, e.l.f. Eyebrow Pencil, e.l.f. Precision Eyeliner, Colourpop Ultra Matte Lipstick in the shade Viper, Chella Beauty Eyebrow Creme, Essence Beauty Brow Gel, and Tarte Cosmetics mascara.

I really love how this look turned out, and I felt so beautiful! This was also the first time I decided to wear liquid eyeliner in a very long time. Usually, it is hit or miss with how I like the look of winged liner on me, but this day I loved it. Maybe it is the power of my favorite season working it’s magic! ❤

How do you guys think this look came out? Do you like it? What does your fall makeup look like? Let me know!

e.l.f. Cosmetics Mad for Matte 2 Palette Review

Hi beautiful people!

The other day, I stopped in the mall to buy a pair of jeans and hit the e.l.f. cosmetics store on my way out. Naturally, I couldn’t leave empty handed and I saw the Mad for Matte 2 palette was finally being sold in stores! Up until recently, it was solely an online exclusive item (when it was released), so I was ecstatic I could purchase it and try it out!

I don’t own the first Mad for Matte palette, however, I always hear great reviews about it. I know the first Mad for Matte palette is an e.l.f. customer favorite, and it is consistently sold out at the e.l.f. store at the mall near me, and online. When I saw they released the second edition, the colors spoke to me on a spiritual level… Ok that’s a bit extra, but the colors looked like the perfect transition shades all in one palette! I’ve been eyeing this palette since September, and I am pleased to inform you all that this product is everything I thought it would be and more!

My purchase included the palette, a Molten Liquid Eyeshadow in the shade “Rose Gold”, and a new crease brush (a perfect match for the palette). The palette itself I’ve used this whole week, and it is incredible! The pigmentation is great, even with one swipe, and the formula is buttery – not dry at all!

I’ve wanted to try the Molten Liquid Eyeshadow as well for a while, and this lived up to every expectation I had! The color and foiledness can be built up with multiple applications, but once over the lid is enough to give you a shiny, metallic all-over color. I’ve been using the liquid shadow on my lid, and creating warm orange and red smoky eye looks with the Mad for Matte 2 palette! The Rose Gold shade of the Molten Liquid Eyeshadow pairs so well with the palette, and next time I am near the e.l.f. store, I want to pick up three other Molten Liquid Eyeshadows in “Brushed Copper”, “Liquid Gold”, and “Cool Steel”.

The staying power of these shadows is incredible. They last all day (including the liquid eyeshadow), and they even lasted through an 8pm dance class I took on Tuesday night, when I had done my makeup that morning! All of these products work so well, and I recommend picking them up if you have a chance. Not to mention they are super affordable! The palette was $10, the crease brush was $3 and the liquid eyeshadow was $4. You really can’t beat the prices, or the quality!

e.l.f. is an amazing drug store brand, and their products keep evolving and becoming better and better! Have you tried any of these products? Let me know how you like them!

Rose Gold Eyes: Makeup for Friendsgiving

Hello and Happy Friday! In my last post, I shared with you all some of the fun items I grabbed from Harmon’s Face Values (read about it here: Shopping at Harmon Face Values), and how I was trying to recreate a look I saw Shaaanxo do on YouTube. I promised I would show you the final look I came up with, and I think it came out really nice! This picture doesn’t do my eyes justice because they were super pearlized and rose gold, but this is the only picture I have of the finished look. Overall, I was looking to make my face have a bronze glow.

Here are all the products I used:

  1. Revlon Colorstay foundation in “220 Natural Beige”
  2. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in  “light”
  3. Rimmel London Stay Matte powder in “011 Creamy Natural”
  4. e.l.f. cosmetics bronzer in “warm”
  5. theBalm cosmetics HotMama blush

  1. Nyx microbrow pencil in “taupe”
  2. Essence cosmetics brow gel in “browny brows”

  1. Maybelline Colour Tattoo Crayon Eyeshadow in “Barely Beige”
  2. Colourpop Cosmetics Supershock eyeshadow in “Weenie”
  3. BH Cosmetics BubzBeauty palette using shades “Able”, “Grateful”,”Optimistic”, and “Thoughtful”
  4. Colourpop creme eyeliner pencil in “Get Paid”
  5. theBalm cosmetics Mad Lash mascara

  1. Wet N Wild PerfectPout Gel Lip Liner in “Bare to Comment”
  2. Wet N Wild Catsuit Liquid Lipstick in “Coral Corruption”

I really love how well this look came out. It was definitely different than the tutorial I watched, but I also used a bunch of different products so nothing was exactly the same color. Nonetheless, it was successful and I would definitely recreate those eyes again when I go out, or for the summer time.

The Wet N Wild lip liner and liquid lipstick are INCREDIBLE. They have so much staying power, and they are gorgeous colors. I am really happy I bought them since I will get a lot of use out of them! The Rimmel powder is really nice too, and it keeps my face looking matte and one color after applying my liquid foundation & concealer. I suggest picking them up if you see them at the drugstore because they really are amazing for a drugstore price tag.

Do you like the look I created? How do you like to use rose gold tones?

Until next time xoxo
