Autumn Leaves Inspired Eyes

Hi beauty lovers!

I created a really beautiful look with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette on Friday, resembling the colors of the changing fall leaves!

autumn leaves 2017

I used Burnt Orange and buffed it into my crease and the inner and outer v of my eyelid. Then I took Red Ochre and darkened my outer v, inner v, and crease with it. I took a small amount of Venetian Red and darkened just the outer v a little bit more! Then I spread Primavera all over my the center of my eyelid!

My lashes are the Essence Cosmetics Lash Princess! This mascara makes my lashes sooo long! My lip color is a new favorite from e.l.f. cosmetics! It’s their Tinted Lip Oil in Mocha Kiss! It is not sticky at all, is very pigmented, and smells like mocha! It is the perfect subtle/neutral complement to this pigmented eye makeup.

What do you all think of this look? I loved how warm the colors are, and how the golds and oranges mimick the colors of the changing trees! Let me know what you think!

May/June Empties!

Hey lovely WordPressers!

I just wanted to show you some empty makeup products/beauty products I’ve used up in the last month and a half. Most of them are primers because I’ve been trying to find a primer that works well with my face.

Currently, I am using the Wet n’ Wild Photo Face Primer (not pictured), but it sort of smells like Elmer’s glue and isn’t very moisturizing… but I spent $4.00 on it so I am going to use it until it’s empty! Nonetheless, I think the Makeup Forever sample, Ulta Flawless Prime, & e.l.f. Tone Adjusting Face Primer are my favorites. They all work very well and very similarly to each other.

Furthermore, I really enjoy the e.l.f. Makeup Mist & Set spray! It works well for the money (it’s $3.00), and I’ve found it really sets my makeup in place and prolongs the wear of it. As for Marc Jacobs Daisy – this is my all-time favorite perfume, and I use it sparingly, so this bottle took me almost three years to finish! Lucky for me, my boyfriend bought me a new bottle for my birthday last summer, and I finally was able to open it!

These are my empties which have been collecting on my desk for the past month and a half. I definitely recommend all of these products, and I have repurchased the e.l.f. setting spray already (it’s a good one I promise)!

Have any of you tried any of these products? Which do you like?

Until next time!

My Second Liebster Award! – Thank You Natalie

Hello WordPress loves! I am sorry I went missing-in-action all week. I was visiting my boyfriend for Memorial Day Weekend! Also, my first summer class has begun and it has been taking over my life (so much reading and so many papers it’s crazy). But anyway, a few weeks ago, the lovely Natalie (aka: Disney Freak with a Bit of Mascara!) nominated me for the Liebster award! This is my second Liebster award, and I am very thankful for the opportunity! You all should check her blog out as well, it’s awesome! (Especially if you love Disney!).

•Thank the blogger who has nominated you for this award.
•Answer the questions the blogger has given you.

“What’s your go-to in a “rush makeup look?”

I usually do a look that makes my skin look dewy and tan-ish. I start with a primer and concealer, then use liquid and pressed powder foundation, highlighter, bronzer, and blush. When I’m pressed for time, this is usually my “no makeup makeup look”, so I top it off with mascara. Finally, I fill my eyebrows!

“What’s your favorite thing about yourself?”

I love how motivated and determined I am in every aspect of my life. I never give up!!

“What are some goals you hope to accomplish for your blog?”

I hope to reach 500 followers by the end of next school year (so May 2017), and I hope to be sponsored by cosmetic companies in the future!

“What do you enjoy to do in your free time?”

When I can, I love spending time with my boyfriend and going on adventures. I also love being with my family, and spending time with friends. I love laying on my dock by the lake, and playing with my dog!

“Do you prefer to watch the movie and then read the book or read the book and then watch the movie?”

I prefer to read the book and then see the movie! The book usually comes first, and is usually always better than the movie in my opinion!

“Do you prefer Disney or Universal?”

They are both great parks, but I love Disney! Deep down, I am a Disney kid at heart ❤ Plus, I want to dance in Disney so Disney is my fav!

“Are you a morning person or a night person?”

Definitely a night person. Since I was a child, my dad has called me “the night owl” 🙂

“Tea or coffee?”

I love both, but coffee is my addiction! I can drink coffee all day long if I had to! My go-to is a Dunkin medium iced coffee with caramel and hazelnut swirl with extra skim milk 🙂

“Bold lip color and neutral eyeshadow or bold eyeshadow and neutral lip color? “

Probably both! This is tough! Recently, I’ve been really into lipsticks, and neutral eyeshadows. However, I love eyeshadow the best, and I love neutral lip colors too!

“What’s your favorite vacation destination\ the place you want to visit most?”

My favorite vacation destination was Oahu, Hawaii, but I also loved the Disney vacation I took in December, and a vacation I took to Puerto Rico back in October! ❤

Unexpected Ulta Haul

Hello beautiful people of the internet!

Happy Monday! I am on spring break this week, and yes I know – it is very early to be on spring break! My college always has a week off for spring break, and then five days off for Easter break. Anyway, I’ve worked every day since I came home on Friday, and I finally have time to write a blog post. Yesterday, I bought some fun things at ULTA after my shift at work, and before my coworkers and I decided to meet at Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner! I had two hours to kill before we met for dinner, and some ULTA gift cards in my wallet, so I took a walk through the aisles of makeup and had a lot of fun spending my gift cards!

I am running out of my CoverGirl liquid foundation, and I am running out of my eyebrow pencil from e.l.f.. I decided to buy a new tube of foundation, and I wanted to try the NYX micro brow pencil as a replacement for my e.l.f. pencil. I decided to pick these two items up, and to my surprise, ULTA was running a special promotion. If you purchase anything totaling $19.50 or higher, you received a free ULTA makeup bag filled with ULTA brand beauty products and two coupons (worth a total of $88!!). The microbrow pencil and the foundation cost me about $16.00, and naturally I decided to buy something else so I could get the free bag (I bought a new lipstick!). I ended up leaving with the NYX microbrow pencil in the shade Brunette, Ready Set Gorgeous foundation from Covergirl in the color 205, a NYX matte lipstick in the shade Honeymoon!

Fun finds at Ulta!

Here is a peek of the products inside the purple makeup bag that I received for free!

Includes: Mini makeup brushes, mini eyeshadow palette, brow pencil, dual ended eyeliner pencil, full size mauve lipstick, full size ultra matte lip cream, blush/highlighter duo, eye makeup removal pads, face primer, full size mascara, and a nail polish.

The miniature eyeshadow palette is super pretty and includes a lot of pretty neutrals and sparkly shadows.

In love with all of these colors!

The NYX microbrow pencil is by far my favorite eyebrow product I’ve used in the last year. I’m sorry I don’t have a photo for it, but my eyebrows look so much better than they ever have. It is so precise and makes my eyebrows look feathery. It is a lot better than the e.l.f. pencil I was using. The e.l.f. pencil was thicker, and it made my eyebrows a little too dark, and a little cakey if I wasn’t careful with the application.

Further, NYX has continued to impress me with their products, including their matte lipstick. I really wanted to try their Lip Lingerie in the shade Honeymoon, but they were all sold out of it! Right underneath the Lip Lingerie display, though, was the matte lipstick display and they had the color Honeymoon!! Guys… I am in LOVE with this color. It is a taupey nude with pink undertones, and it is such a unique color! I knew I had to have it when I saw it (even though it wasn’t the Lip Lingerie). It also looks either more pink or more taupey depending on the light and what I am wearing. Here is it swatched on my lips!

I also swatched it on my arm for you all, and you can see that it looks different in different light.

I wore this color to work today with a taupey eyeshadow look I created and it looked great! I definitely recommend these products!

I enjoyed last night so much because I picked up so many goodies from ULTA, and I never get to hang out with my coworkers! Let me know what you think of these products! If you are near an ULTA they are running the promotion for the free makeup bag until March 12, or until the makeup bags run out, so go get yours if you haven’t already!

Until next time!
