TooFaced SugarPlum Fairy Makeup Set

OMG YOU GUYS! THIS IS THE BEST HOLIDAY PALETTE RELEASE EVER!!!

As we all know, each year TooFaced comes out with a gift set that is their special gift set for the holiday season! Most years the gift sets are available to buy via Home Shopping Network (HSN) and specialty suppliers like Ulta and Sephora. Well this year – TooFaced created the cutest holiday gift set that is specific only to HSN! On the release day, November 2nd, I flipped on the HSN to see what the TooFaced special deal was. And the deal of the day happened to be the TooFaced holiday set!

This year, the set is inspired by the Nutcracker!! Specifically, the Sugar Plum Fairy! This set includes the Sugar Plum Fun palette, which has shades with names inspired by the ballet/land of sweets! Not only does it include this special edition and ADORABLE palette, it includes 3 full-sized extras! Here’s what you get!

  1.  Sugar Plum Fun Eyeshadow Palette
  2. Full-size Better than Sex Mascara
  3.  Full-size 24-hour Shadow Insurance Eyelid Primer
  4.  Full-size La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick – Sugar Fairy (warm peachy nude)

Because the 2nd was it’s launch day with HSN, the price was $49 with FREE SHIPPING!! The deal was so amazing, and because I am dancing in my first Nutcracker ever this year, I decided to buy it for myself to celebrate all of my hard work! The day of the launch, HSN also had a 4 payment flex-pay option to pay $12.25 a month for four months for the set. So with tax and the flex pay, I spent about $15 and change to get this home to me so I can play with it! I AM SO EXCITED TO GET THIS IN THE MAIL THIS WEEK!

I cannot forget to mention the adorable packaging! The gift box and palette have this adorable Supar Plum Fairy ballerina on it, and inside the mirror is bordered by a stage curtain, a Nutcracker, and another fairy.  Tell me your inner dance child is not screaming!! The shades look perfect for everyday wear, and it will be nice to have a neutral palette to work with since most palettes I own have really warm red and orange color schemes.

After the launch day, this set increased in price to $60, and is still available for purchase! The HSN website says that this set is worth over $115, so $60 for everything you get is still an amazing deal! Again, this is an HSN exclusive, so you can only order it on HSN.com! If you want to purchase it, you can do so at this www.hsn.com/products/too-faced-hsn-exclusive-sugar-plum-fun-makeup. (This is not an affiliate link!).

Autumn Leaves Inspired Eyes

Hi beauty lovers!

I created a really beautiful look with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette on Friday, resembling the colors of the changing fall leaves!

autumn leaves 2017

I used Burnt Orange and buffed it into my crease and the inner and outer v of my eyelid. Then I took Red Ochre and darkened my outer v, inner v, and crease with it. I took a small amount of Venetian Red and darkened just the outer v a little bit more! Then I spread Primavera all over my the center of my eyelid!

My lashes are the Essence Cosmetics Lash Princess! This mascara makes my lashes sooo long! My lip color is a new favorite from e.l.f. cosmetics! It’s their Tinted Lip Oil in Mocha Kiss! It is not sticky at all, is very pigmented, and smells like mocha! It is the perfect subtle/neutral complement to this pigmented eye makeup.

What do you all think of this look? I loved how warm the colors are, and how the golds and oranges mimick the colors of the changing trees! Let me know what you think!

First Day of Fall Makeup!!

Hi beautiful internet readers!

I wanted to show you all a fun and berry-inspired makeup look I completed on the first day of fall (September 22, 2017)! This look was so fun to do, and it was completed using only eyeshadows from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette. I love this palette SOOOO much, and it is great for fall makeup looks.

Other products I used included e.l.f. Foundation, Hikari blush/bronzer duo, Becca Cosmetics highlighter, e.l.f. Eyebrow Pencil, e.l.f. Precision Eyeliner, Colourpop Ultra Matte Lipstick in the shade Viper, Chella Beauty Eyebrow Creme, Essence Beauty Brow Gel, and Tarte Cosmetics mascara.

I really love how this look turned out, and I felt so beautiful! This was also the first time I decided to wear liquid eyeliner in a very long time. Usually, it is hit or miss with how I like the look of winged liner on me, but this day I loved it. Maybe it is the power of my favorite season working it’s magic! ❤

How do you guys think this look came out? Do you like it? What does your fall makeup look like? Let me know!

Easy Cocoa Crispy Rice Cripsy Treats

Hi everyone!!

I cooked dinner and dessert for my family last night, and I wanted to make a dessert that was simple, and different than what my family usually reaches for after a meal (usually something chocolatey). I decided to take a new spin on my rice crisy treats and use cocoa crispy cereal instead of traditional rice cereal to get our chocolate fix. The recipe is the same as regular rice crispy treats:

  1.  Six cups of rice cereal
  2. 1/4 cup of butter (half stick)
  3.  A bag of mini marshmallows

I’ve made this recipe with fruity rice cereal as well, and those are just as delicious! This time, I tried to make them with cocoa crispy cereal and it hit the chocolatey spot after dinner!

All you do is melt the butter in a skillet, and once the butter is melted, add all of the mini marshmallows and mix until they are melted. Then you remove the pan from the heat, add the cereal, mix until the cereal is coated, and press them into a pan with waxed paper. Literally, this is the easiest treat to make, and they are delicious!

Don’t they look delicious?! If you’re looking for an easy dessert to make for after dinner, or to bring to a barbeque or party, these are super easy and yummy! Also, they are no bake, so no extra heat from an oven is filling your kitchen during the warmer summer months!

What are your favorite, easy treats to make in the summertime?

Pumpkin Muffins and Pre-Autumn Feels

Hi beautiful people!

The past few days the temperature has plumeted from the heat wave we just went through here on the East Coast, and although the temperatures are still in the upper 60s and 70s, it has been giving me fall vibes! 🙂 Now to be clear, I am in NO WAY ready for summer to end, however, as my long-time readers know, fall is my favorite season! The first cool weather we have had this summer, and I was craving PUMPKIN! So naturally, I made pumpkin muffins as I watched reruns of American Horror Story.

pumpkinmuffins1

I used a simple recipe you can find at this link Libby’s Pumpkin Muffins. I substituted the 1/2 cup of vegetable oil for a 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce. I’ve been doing this when I bake lately because unsweetened applesauce is a substitute for vegetable oil, and has a 1:1 ratio – meaning there are no conversions to be done, and you cut the fat down significantly in your recipe! I also used a 1/2 cup of orange juice instead of a 1/2 cup of water to give my muffins a hint of citrus!

pumpkinmuffins2

PS: Don’t mind the slits in the tops of the muffins – I stuck a knife in the top of them to make sure they were cooked thoroughly before I took them out of the pan

These muffins are delicious, and next time I think I’m going to put chocolate chips in them! This rescipe yielded about 28 muffins! ❤ Right out of the oven with butter they are tasty, and they are also yummy toasted with butter, and with coffee in the morning! If you are feeling fall vibes as well and craving the tastes of the season, these muffins are easy to make and will satisfy your fall-flavor craving while you soak up the sunrays of late summer!

What have you been baking this summer? Has the weather been feeling like fall to you? Let me know!
