Happy Sunday everybody!
I’m sure you’ve all seen the tag going around YouTube – beauty YouTubers are filming themsleves following other beauty YouTubers’ makeup tutorials. I decided to try it for myself, and I knew I wanted to use the pretty blue shades from the MorphexJaclynHill palette. So I did a little YouTube searching and found a fun tutorial from Kristen Davis that made following the eye makeup look easy. You can view it below!
Her look is gorgeous, right? I didn’t have all of the exact products she used (other than the Morphe palette of course), and the false lashes I had on hand were a bit on the dramatic side…. LOL. Here is my final result!
Don’t be fooled – the lighting makes it look a lot better than it actually was. I thought I looked like a drag queen (nothing wrong with drag except I don’t look good with this dramatic of a look… plus I want to look like a woman, not like a man trying to look like a woman).
How do you guys think I did? The glitter eyeshadow topper I used was not as intense as hers (I used Colourpop’s Alchemy, she used an actual eye glitter), and the lashes she used were a better length for her face than the ones I used.
I never adventure with bold blues because I feel like blues don’t look well on my skin tone or with my hazel eye color. Nonetheless, this look was fun and definitely out of my comfort zone! Who’s eyemakeup tutorial do you think I should try next?!
Comment below on how you think I did, and if you would like to see me attempt more beauty tutorials from YouTube!
xoxo
I love the mermaid vibe of this look!

Awe thank you so much! š I personally don’t think blues look good on me, and I didn’t think this look looked good on me at all, so it means a lot to have such positive comments on this! š
And yeah these challenges are great!

Blue is such a funny colour like that, I got my first blue eyeshadows in a palette a few months ago and I was really unsure about it at first but I love it now!
